New 4 ply cotton gives the look of the chenille acryllics but in 100% cotton. Should hold shape longer than the acryllics do. Color is variegated. Changes color in the one thread for red white and blue look but actually blends with shades of lighter blue to pinkish red as it changes. Real interesting! But still patriotic!
